Our partners at the National Weather Service’s Louisville office have posted a series of news articles to wrap up 2015’s meteorological activities.
The 2015 review looks back at the whole year, which started off viciously cold but ended up warmer than usual. 2015 was also very wet, as shown by the number of flash flood warnings the Louisville NWS office had to issue.
For a more detailed look at the year’s end, check out the December review. We all remember how warm and wet the month was, but the hard numbers bring it into perspective.
We missed out on a white Christmas in 2015, and this article on late snowfall sheds some light on this issue.
Going forward, you may also want to bookmark the winter weather decision support page, which consolidates a number of useful forecast and observation products in one place.
