Area roads will remain snow covered and treacherous through the morning. Watch out for falling limbs and power lines.
Light snow showers and snow flurries will be possible across the region this morning and should diminish during the afternoon hours. Tonight will be cold with lows in the single digits. There is a chance that if we were to get some clearer skies, we could see temperatures tumble below zero. Wind chills Wednesday morning will be in the single digits as well.
Attention will then turn to the possibility of another winter storm affecting the region sometime late Wednesday through early Friday morning. Another round of wintry precipitation including snow, sleet, freezing rain, and possibly a cold rain will be possible with this system. However, considerable uncertainty exists with the track, strength, and possible weather types with this system.
If you must go outdoors, especially in the early morning or evening, please dress for the extreme cold. Here’s the forecast for the rest of the week.
