Update 5:50am – Early this morning light rain and drizzle will move into southern Indiana and north central Kentucky. As temperatures fall, this precipitation will transition to snow showers, possibly mixed with some freezing rain during the changeover. The best chances for a wintry mix and snow showers will be after 6am CST/7am EST…continuing through the morning hours. The scattered snow showers will then quickly dissipate this afternoon.
Slick spots will be possible on roadways where these showers pass through. Keep an eye on the weather in your area and be on the lookout for slick spots, especially on bridges.

Update 10:00pm – A strong cold front is currently pushing through the area, with wind gusts up around 35 mph at times. After Midnight, moisture ill stream in from the north along with dropping temperatures. Some snow showers and patchy freezing drizzle will be possible Tuesday morning during rush hour. Overall accumulations will be light, but a few snow showers could drop up to a half inch of snow. Freezing drizzle could create a very light glaze of ice on cooler or elevated surfaces. This will lead to some slick spots during the morning commute. Use caution when driving tomorrow morning, especially on untreated roadways and elevated surfaces and bridges.
