This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime, if applicable.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to provide highly-skilled, technical administration and support of software and alert systems in routine and emergency situations, and web-based software systems critical to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) function.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the job
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
- Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Installs and maintains VM software and hardware for EOC’s computers, databases, and inventory; liaises with Computer Services and provides technical support to EOC staff
- Develops and provides training to staff, 911 supervisors, and other departments on EOC’s multiple emergency warning notification systems, which include Everbridge, 100 Alertus beacons, 32 outdoor sirens, AM radio system which includes 4 transmit nodes, and 5 flashing interstate signs, and a Digital Alerting System component.
- Maintains and conducts training for the web-based incident management system
- Troubleshoots hardware/software, emergency systems, and AV equipment issues
- Maintains database files and training records; develops and completes reports; supports committees
- Writes and maintains protocols for 911 to activate the emergency notification systems
- Maintains and trains users on the Crisis Track damage assessment software
- Develops and maintains a resource/inventory/deployment system
- Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Completion of IS 247 Integrated Public Alert and Warning System training within the first six (3) months of employment as a condition for permanent appointment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
