Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds and hail being possible. Another round of showers with some thunderstorms is expected late tonight and toward sunrise on Wednesday.
A significant threat of strong to severe thunderstorms increases over the area Wednesday afternoon into the overnight hours. At this time, the highest threat of severe weather stretches along and west of the I-65 corridor from southern Indiana down through central Kentucky.
