Bridge work will close lanes of New Circle Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 31, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a temporary closure is scheduled for a KY 4 (New Circle Road) bridge in Lexington. The closure is necessary for bridge deck repair work to be completed.

Work schedule: Tuesday, April 1 – 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.

The inner loop of New Circle Road will be closed between mile points 7.0 and 9.0.

This location is between Leestown Road and Georgetown Road

The bridge is mile point 8.0.

One lane will remain open at all times.

Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert motorists.

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
