Closures Scheduled for New Circle Road/Versailles Road Interchange

Closures scheduled for KY 4 (New Circle Road)/Versailles Road Interchange in Fayette County
Geotechnical drilling and survey work to be performed

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 19, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a temporary closures are scheduled for the KY 4 (New Circle Road)/Versailles Road Interchange in Lexington. The closures are necessary for geotechnical drilling and survey work to be completed.

Work schedule:
(weekday & evening work only/no weekend work)

  • Thursday, March 20 through Thursday, April 3 –
    Closures for shoulders and ramps may occur at varied stages during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • The work will include both the Exit 5A ramp and Exit 5B ramp.

Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert motorists.

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling near the area.
