The first day of school for Fayette County Public Schools is Wednesday, August 14. Residents will see an increase in traffic around school times and areas. Those traveling to work in the morning may need to leave early to account for the traffic increase.
Remember:
- Stay alert and use caution when traveling in school zones.
- Stop and yield to pedestrians crossing at an intersection or crosswalk.
- Never pass to drive around a vehicle stopped for pedestrians.
- Always stop for a crossing guard holding a stop sign.
