The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Freeze Watch, which is in effect from late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s in the valleys and into the lower 30s elsewhere in the watch area Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The killing of sensitive plants and bushes is possible from those temperatures. Budding fruit trees could also be damaged.
A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
