The forecast is on track to see widespread rain move over the region tonight through the day tomorrow and come to an end Thursday morning. Rainfall amounts will range from around 1.00″ to 2.00″ with locally higher amounts possible from heavier rains. This could lead to some minor localized flooding, especially in flood-prone areas across the Lake Cumberland region into the southern Bluegrass. Southcentral to southeastern KY is under a slight risk (at least 15%) for excessive rainfall that could lead to flooding on Wednesday with the rest of the state shaded in green or a marginal risk (at least 5% for rapid onset of flooding). Other than some possible rumbles of thunder and gusty winds, there remains a very low threat of severe weather.
