The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Freeze Warning for most of central Kentucky, which is in effect from midnight EDT Friday night to 10 AM EDT Saturday. Lows overnight into Saturday morning in sheltered locations could reach the mid 20s.
Plants that are sensitive to frost may be damaged this morning. Sub-freezing temperatures Saturday morning could have a significant impact on agricultural interests. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
