Invite a DEM Speaker to Your Organization

Happy Friday, Lexington! We hope everyone’s staying warm today.

Here at stately DEM Plaza, we’re fortunate to work with people like Shelley Bendall, who serves as DEM’s Preparedness Coordinator. One of Shelley’s duties is to travel Lexington’s snowy streets, delivering information on DEM’s roles and responsibilities, personal and household preparedness, and community preparedness opportunities to local businesses and other organizations. She recently visited the Rotary Club of Lexington, where she presented to a rapt audience of 200 Rotarians (we’ve attached a PDF copy of Shelley’s slides here).

Shelley and other DEM speakers are available to present to your company, neighborhood association, or civic organization at no charge. To schedule a presentation, please contact Shelley at (859) 425-2495 or sbendall@lexingtonky.gov. And while you’re at it, ask her about Lexington’s Community Emergency Response Team program, which she also coordinates.
