Lexington Emergency Operations Center Activated
After Blue Grass Army Depot Accident

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been activated. There has been an accident at the Blue Grass Army Depot involving chemical agents.

At this time, no protective actions are required of persons currently working or living in Fayette County. Due to the developing nature of the accident, residents are asked to limit outdoor activities and monitor local media outlets for updates on potential protective actions that may be necessary. Jacobson Park is being opened as a reception area. The park is now closed to the public. Be aware of increased public safety vehicle traffic in the area of Jacobson Park.
