150305_11230_RadarThe radar is clear and the snow has just about ended.

That’s the good news.

Snowfall total at Blue Grass Airport is 17.1 inches. Nearly one and a half feet.

Tonight, expect temperatures to drop into the single digits. Wind chills will be double digit below zero.

Roads in Fayette County are still slick and hazardous. City, state and private contractor crews continue to plow Priority 1 and 2 streets and roads.

Lexington Police have responded to one injury accident, 27 non-injury accidents and 140 motorist assists.

The Lexington Division of Emergency Management continues to monitor conditions throughout the county. So far, there have been minimal, small electrical power outages. At this time, there are no outages in Fayette County.

Most schools and government offices in Fayette County are closed today.

The meeting of the Lexington Urban County Council scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

Fayette County Schools are CLOSED tomorrow, March 6.  Please monitor your usual channels for additional school and business closing announcements for tomorrow.
