Updated noon – February 1, 2018
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6pm today through midnight.
Periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
Use caution when driving.
Rain will overspread the area today ahead of a strong cold front. Behind the cold front, rain will transition to snow this evening.
Light snow accumulations up to 1 inch will be possible mainly south of I-64 and east of I-65 during the 6pm to midnight time frame. A light coating of snow could result in slick roadways by late evening.
Temperatures will continue to drop overnight reaching the 10 to 17 degree range by Friday morning. These much colder temperatures will cause any wet spots on roadways to freeze.
Slippery road conditions may be present for the Friday morning commute. Travelers should use caution and plan for extra travel time.
