The Lexington Division of Emergency Management, along with the Bluegrass Area Chapter of the American Red Cross are sponsoring a National Weather Service Weather Spotter Class.
The class will be held on Monday, March 7 from 7-9pm at the American Red Cross offices in Lexington at 1450 Newtown Pike.
Ron Steve of NWS Louisville will be the instructor.
No pre-registration is required, but it’s strongly recommended that you look through the training materials here before class.
The weather spotters in Kentucky are an important part of the partnerships that provide important, timely information back to the NWS offices during severe weather.
