Old Frankfort Pike bridge closed this weekend

150715_OFP_NC4_Ramps Closed_BlogThe Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways has an update for work on New Circle Road/KY 4.

Starting Friday, July 17 at 7 p.m. and continuing through Monday, July 20 at 6 a.m., the Old Frankfort Pike bridge over New Circle Road will be CLOSED.

The ramp from the outer loop of New Circle Road to Old Frankfort Pike and the ramp from Old Frankfort Pike to the outer loop of New Circle Road will be CLOSED as well.

Enterprise Drive (a Lexington City route) will remain open with traffic detoured outbound to Alexandria Drive

The inner loop ramps of New Circle Road to Old Frankfort Pike will remain open.

Detour signage and message boards will be in place to direct the traveling public.

The work is necessary to build the roadway leading to the newly constructed Old Frankfort Pike Bridge

A 45 mph speed limit remains in effect for the construction zone.
