Overnight New Circle Road Stoppages Planned for Construction

New Circle Road - State Highway 4 signThe Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that closures will be in effect this week for New Circle Road/KY 4. The closures are necessary for bridge demolition work to be completed.

Tuesday, Jan. 6 – 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7
The left lane of the inner loop will be closed.
The entire road will be closed between the Old Frankfort Pike and Versailles Road Exits for 30 minute multiple intervals beginning at 10:00 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 8 – 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9
The left lane of the outer loop will be closed.
The entire road will be closed between the Old Frankfort Pike and Versailles Road Exits for 30 minute multiple intervals beginning at 10:00 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 9 – 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10
The left lane of the outer loop will be closed.
The entire road will be closed between the Leestown and Old Frankfort Pike Exits for 30 minute intervals beginning at 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 10 – 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 11
The left lane of the inner loop will be closed.
The entire road will be closed between the Leestown and Old Frankfort Pike Exits for 30 minute intervals beginning at 10:00 p.m.

A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH will be in effect at all times.

Motorists are advised to utilize side streets in lieu of traveling New Circle Road to avoid delays.

All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
