
Update: The non-emergency medical needs shelter at the Lexington Senior Center is closed. The Senior Center is open for regular programming until 5pm.
As of 8am, Monday July 23, there are 2,020 KU Fayette County customers without power. KU advises crews will continue working to restore power to all customers, but some restorations may not take place until midnight Tuesday, July 24. At the height of Friday’s storm, more than 60,000 customers in Lexington were dark. More than 90% have been restored within 48 hours of the first wave of storms passing through Fayette County.
A shelter for those residents still without power and with certain medical needs has been opened at the Lexington Senior Center. For more information, please call (859) 258-3600.
