The Lexington-Fayette County MRC will be hosting a Stop the Bleed training on June 14th at 5:30pm. The training will be held at the Lexington-Faytte County Health Department at 650 Newtown Pike in the Rice C. Leach Training Room. The training will be taught by Amanda Rist, the Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator at UK and our own MRC volunteer Dr. Erich Maul.
Pre-registration is suggested.
For anyone who has never heard of it, Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
