Snow, sleet, ice and rain possible for Monday commute

The National Weather Service in Louisville is closely watching developing weather conditions for Lexington starting Sunday afternoon and evening.

A weather system could bring snow, sleet, freezing rain, ice and additional rain to Lexington starting some time early Monday morning, continuing through Tuesday.

Ground temperatures are below freezing and air temperatures could rise just to the freezing level, making travel challenging for the Monday morning commute.
