The District 7 Fayette County Maintenance Crew is clearing drain inlets for barrier walls on I-75 northbound and southbound throughout today. The work is necessary for removing accumulated snow to ensure that the drains can clear. In addition, it is also proactive in the event that additional precipitation should occur.
Crews will be working from mile Point 99 (Clays Ferry Bridge) to Mile Point 120 (Ironworks Pike/KY Horse Park Interchange)
This is a mobile operation.
Lane closures will be in effect for the left shoulder and left/fast lane
Heavy equipment will be utilized for clearing the left shoulder
Appropriate signage is in place to alert motorists of the work and closures.
All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
