
Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected across the outlook area this afternoon and tonight. At this time, the highest risk of severe weather is expected across the western half of Kentucky and Indiana west of the I-65 corridor. Straight line damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will be the main threats with this activity. Outside of any thunderstorms today, gusty southwest winds of 15-25 mph with gusts to 40 mph will be possible.
Stay weather aware through Wednesday and early Thursday morning, as the most severe storms may pass through Fayette County after midnight.
