Scattered Snow Showers and Additional Light Accumulations Possible This Afternoon and Evening…
Behind today’s initial wave of light snow, additional scattered snow showers are expected to develop this afternoon and evening as colder air pours into the area. These spotty snow showers will be
capable of narrow swaths of up to 3/4 of an inch of accumulation, and are most likely to develop in southern Indiana and north-central Kentucky.
Rapidly changing conditions over short distances are likely, with bursts of moderate snow reducing visibility to less than 1 mile. Closer to sunset, any snow shower will stick more readily to roads with the loss of daytime heating. A light coating will result in slick roadways, so use caution if traveling this afternoon and evening.
