The final Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program (CSEPP) exercise for Fayette County took place on June 12, 2024. CSEPP has been integral to the county’s emergency preparedness and resiliency efforts since 1997.

CSEPP provided training, equipment, and funding for Lexington’s Emergency Management, Fire Department, Police Department, Animal Care and Control, and many others. The development of Emergency Management programs, especially, would not have been possible without CSEPP.
Thanks to the hard work of many, the final CSEPP exercise ended with a celebration. Those involved in the program could walk down memory lane and reflect upon the projects and improvements provided by CSEPP throughout the years. Even though the program is ending, Lexington will continue preparing residents for emergencies.
