A high wind advisory is now in effect until tonight.
Wednesday will be an active weather day. Winds will pick up out of the south during the morning and afternoon hours, and will likely gust into the 40 to 50 mph range through late evening. A line of showers and thunderstorms are then expected to arrive from the west Wednesday evening, and could be capable of sporadic damaging wind gusts and isolated, brief spin up tornadoes. Confidence in the severity of the line when it arrives in our region isn’t very high, as the line will likely be weakening by Wednesday evening, but the best chances for severe weather will be west of the I-65 corridor. The window we’re looking at for timing of storms across southern Indiana and central Kentucky looks to be in the 6pm EDT – 1am EDT timeframe. #kywx
