Update: New Circle Rd & Alexandria Drive Construction

New Circle Road - State Highway 4 signThe Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces an update for New Circle Road construction.

Bridge demolition work at this time is complete. Construction for the bridges will be ongoing inside the barrier wall. Blasting operations will be in effect for Wednesday, January 14.

Wednesday, Jan. 14

Approximate blasting times: 9:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m./12:00 p.m. (noon) & 1:30 p.m.

Blasting work will begin (both inner and outer loops) between the bridge over Alexandria Drive and the Old Frankfort Pike Exit.

Operations will then move to the location (both inner and outer loops) between the bridge over Alexandria Drive and the Versailles Road Exit.

The mobile operation involves approximately 15 minutes wait time for each stop.

Local law enforcement is assisting with traffic control during the operations.

A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH is in effect at all times.
