Strong winds from the south-southwest are expected again today, especially after 10 AM EST. Wind gusts of 30-35 MPH will be common, with occasional gusts around 40 MPH.
Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around, and some small tree branches could come down.
Motorists should use caution and be prepared for strong crosswinds on east-west highways, including Interstate 64 and the Western Kentucky and Bluegrass Parkways. High-profile vehicles will be impacted the most.
Wind gusts will diminish after sunset.
