
A Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 9pm, Thursday, Jan. 4 to 11am Friday, Jan. 5. for Lexington/Fayette County.
Wind chill values between 8 below zero and 12 below zero will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
Dress warmly and keep a winter travel kit for your car. Bring your pets indoors if they do not have adequate shelter outdoors.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
