Freezing rain and sleet continue to move toward the bluegrass and Lexington. You should expect to see this wintry mix start to fall in Lexington between 5 and 8pm. It will continue for several hours and then turn to snow. Total accumulation expected to be up to 7″ of snow.
Expect road and overall travel conditions to deteriorate. Travel may be difficult later tonight into tomorrow morning. Power outages are possible due to ice accumulation on power lines.
