While freezing drizzle has largely come to an end across the area, may continue to see slick spots on roadways over the next few hours, especially on bridges and overpasses. Slow down and
use caution while traveling.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for Lexington until 10 am on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Expect mixed precipitation expected. Ice accumulations around a tenth of an inch are possible, along with a dusting of sleet accumulation.
Plan on a few slippery spots on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute.
Ice is most likely to accumulate on elevated surfaces such as trees, decks, and cars, and slick spots should mainly be confined to bridges, overpasses, untreated roads, and sheltered areas. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages.
